  Life is a choice

  In our daily lives,we have many choices to make,such as what to eat for supper,what clothes to wear,or what to do on weekends. At certain times in our lives,we need to make even more critical choices,such as which school to attend,what job to take or who to choose as husband or wife.

  Yes,life is a mater of choice. Seemingly,it means a choice of tangible things. But in essence,it means choosing a way of life. Life is to be lived,saved,and enjoyed,not to be wasted or complained about.Hardly can we forget the time when our society faced the grave threat from the life-and-death disease-SARS. Yet,even during those dreadful times,some afflicted people remained optimistic. Instead of wearing neutral white masks,some people turned to colorful ones and thus display a happy mood. And some creative people dubbed SARS to mean“Smile And Remain Smiling .” I was deeply touched by their optimistic,nearly forgetting that we are still in a battle,people who survive these kinds of circumstances,decide in their minds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.

  Laid-off workers typically regarded as the victims of economic advancement,are subject to desperation that being unemployed has brought on them. But encouragingly,we have witnessed some of them striving hard to rebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstrating their values.

  Although we cannot choose our appearance,inborn gifts and even avoid unexpected disasters and adversities,we do have the privilege to choose to live optimistically,to love our lives,to have dreams,and to cherish hopes.

  Every morning when we get up,we have a choice of how we want to approach life that day. As for me,I choose to be cheerful.

  Table manners refers to the etiquette used while eating,which may also included how to use the tableware. Different countries have different cultures for table manners. Today I’ll show you the table manners in the east and west. In the east, we use tea-pot, table cloth, plate, chopsticks and so on. For example in China, there are many rules: make the elders have a sit first and the ladies first, before eat meal you should wash your hands, don’t eat too fast or too much, don't speak with your mouth full of food. When eating, please put up the bowl and when finished you should lay your chopsticks on the bowl. Sometimes the Chinese host put food in others bowl or plate in order to show the guests politely.

  Korean food have everything that one expects to find, of course, there are also many table manners. When eating the mouth isn’t making a lot of noise, when finished you need put the chopsticks in the same place.

  In the west, eat different foods need different tableware, this is the formal table setting. The serving order is starters, soup, main course, dessert and drinks. In the USA, you can’t eat with your hands, but in India you can. Next is can or can’t, wash your hands before meal, knife and spoon are on the right, fork is on the left, so You should use the fork with your left hand and the knife with your right hand. Don’t drink too much and speak too loudly. You can eat only from your plate. Attention: when we are in a party, you have only bowl of soup and must finish all the food on your plate.   Ladies and Gentlemen

  I'm only going to talk to you just for a minute or so this evening because I have some -- some very sad news for all of you -- Could you lower those signs please? -- I have some very sad news for all of you and I think sad news for all of our fellow citizens and people who love peace all over the world; and that is that Martin Luther King was shot and was killed tonight in Memphis Tennessee.

  Martin Luther King dedicated his life to love and to justice between fellow human beings. He died in the cause of that effort. In this difficult day in this difficult time for the United States it's perhaps well to ask what kind of a nation we are and what direction we want to move in. For those of you who are black -- considering the evidence evidently is that there were white people who were responsible -- you can be filled with bitterness and with hatred and a desire for revenge.

  We can move in that direction as a country in greater polarization -- black people amongst blacks and white amongst whites filled with hatred toward one another. Or we can make an effort as Martin Luther King did to understand and to comprehend and replace that violence that stain of bloodshed that has spread across our land with an effort to understand compassion and love.

  For those of you who are black and are tempted to fill with -- be filled with hatred and mistrust of the injustice of such an act against all white people I would only say that I can also feel in my own heart the same kind of feeling. I had a member of my family killed but he was killed by a white man.

  But we have to make an effort in the United States. We have to make an effort to understand to get beyond or go beyond these rather difficult times.

  My favorite poem my -- my favorite poet was Aeschylus. And he once wrote:

  Even in our sleep pain which cannot forget

  falls drop by drop upon the heart

  until in our own despair

  against our will

  comes wisdom

  through the awful grace of God.

  What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness but is love and wisdom and compassion toward one another and a feeling of justice toward those who still suffer within our country whether they be white or whether they be black.

  So I ask you tonight to return home to say a prayer for the family of Martin Luther King -- yeah it's true -- but more importantly to say a prayer for our own country which all of us love -- a prayer for understanding and that compassion of which I spoke.

  We can do well in this country. We will have difficult times. We've had difficult times in the past but we -- and we will have difficult times in the future. It is not the end of violence; it is not the end of lawlessness; and it's not the end of disorder.

  But the vast majority of white people and the vast majority of black people in this country want to live together want to improve the quality of our life and want justice for all human beings that abide in our land.

  And let's dedicate ourselves to what the Greeks wrote so many years ago: to tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world. Let us dedicate ourselves to that and say a prayer for our country and for our people.

  You will live every singleday of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your

  passion through the words you speak and the actions you take.

  You will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. You will never succumb to challenges of hardships.

  You will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. After all, you are the best, and you deserve

  the best!

  As your coach and friend, I can assure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your hand. You must do your part. The world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources,and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, human life on earth will not survive. We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon be none left. Yet,with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are caught.We know that if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear. Yet, we continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees. We see that if rivers are polluted with waste products, we will die. Yet, waste products are still put into rivers.We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate, in a few years, there wont be enough food.What can we do to solve these problems?If we eat more vegetables and less meat, there will be more food available. Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are kept.Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recyciethem.

  The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth control.Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a better and cleaner planet in the future.

  Harmony means democracy, justice ...

  "a harmonious society should feature democracy, the rule of law, equity, justice, sincerity, amity and vitality," hu said.

  Such a society will give full scope to people"s talent and creativity, enable all the people to share the social wealth brought by reform and development, and forge an ever closer relationship between the people and government. "these things will thus result in lasting stability and unity," hu said.

  To meet this goal, hu told the country"s high-ranking officials to:

  -- strive for sustained,

  Rapid and coordinated economic growth;sound economic growth and increasing abundance of social wealth are the material foundation for a harmonious society, and the well-being of the country"s rural population will play a decisive role.

  "When the farmers can lead a good life and assume a higher overall quality, the vast countryside will be stable and prosperous."

  -- develop socialist democracy;

  by developing democracy, the people"s opinions may be further let out, their intelligence be fully absorbed, and a democratic policy-making mechanism will help balance different social interests and avoid social conflicts.

  -- actively enforce the principle of rule of law;

  the rule of law is important for the promotion, realization and safeguarding of a harmonious society. this principle should be rigorously implemented in all political, administrative and judicial sectors to ensure the powerful be checked and accountable for their misdeeds.

  -- strengthen ideological and ethical buildup;

  "without a common ideological aspiration or high moral standard, a harmonious society will be a mansion built on sand." honesty, unity, fraternity, professional ethics should be advocated to the whole society.

  -- maintain social equity and justice;

  Social equity and justice is key to bringing people"s creativity and initiatives to full play, because people will not be happy without it. it is important to balance different interests and strive to ensure equality for all in terms of personal rights, opportunities, game-playing rules and wealth distribution.

  -- establish a fine-tuned social management system and well handle the people"s internal contradictions;

  Social conflicts are emerging in great numbers and in more varied forms, which are inevitable for china at the present stage.but they must be properly handled in case they pose risks to the overall development of the country.

  -- and to beef up environmental protection.

  "The present ecological and environmental situations in china are rather tough and grave in some places." without a sound natural environment, people will have no clean water to drink, fresh air to breath, healthy food to eat, which will result in serious social problems."

  Hu called on the high-ranking officials to put building a harmonious society on their top work agenda, do a good job in serving the people, and probe into theories relating to the building of a harmonious society.

  It will be a long-term, systematic project, and the whole party and the government must constantly remind themselves of the sense of mission and take up their responsibilities in leading the construction of a harmonious society for the smooth transition of the chinese society in the next decades, hu said.

  This is the text of the Commencement address by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, delivered on June 12, 20xx.

  I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, I never graduated from college. This is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.

  The first story is about connecting the dots.

  I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?

  It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. Except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "We have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" They said: "Of course." My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would someday go to college.

  And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out OK. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.

  It wasn't all romantic. I didn't have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends' rooms, I returned coke bottles for the 5 cent; deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. Let me give you one example:

  Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. I learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and I found it fascinating.

If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows just copied the Mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them. If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.

  Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

  My second story is about love and loss.

  I was lucky — I found what I loved to do early in life. Woz and I started Apple in my parents garage when I was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. We had just released our finest creation — the Macintosh — a year earlier, and I had just turned 30. And then I got fired. How can you get fired from a company you started? Well, as Apple grew we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. But then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. When we did, our Board of Directors sided with him. So at 30 I was out. And very publicly out. What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.

  I really didn't know what to do for a few months. I felt that I had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that I had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. I was a very public failure, and I even thought about running away from the valley. But something slowly began to dawn on me — I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over.

  I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.

  During the next five years, I started a company named NeXT, another company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, I returned to Apple, and the technology we developed at NeXT is at the heart of Apple's current renaissance. And Laurene and I have a wonderful family together.

  I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it.

  Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

  My third story is about death.

  When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

  Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

  About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn't even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for prepare to die. It means to try to tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.

  I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck anendoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I'm fine now.

  This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope its the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:

  No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

  When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960's, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.

  Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

Because this topic was familiar to them. But suddenly, a boy asked me how to play basketball and the rules of it. At that moment, I couldn’t say a word. Because I had no interest in sports in my daily life and before the class I also didn’t prepare for it. I was so embarrassed and didn’t know what I should do. At that moment, Yu Fangzheng stood up and told the rules, even though the history of the basketball. This thing affects me deeply. It makes me know a teacher shoud have a student’s heart. Teaching is also learning,

  As the greatest educational expert said: “ If you refuse learn from your students humbly, you will not know his growth environment, his ability, his needs; then, you can not teach him well even though you have excellent skills and rich knowledge.” As teachers, we need to " charge ", we should accept opinions of students with an open mind .We should forget our roles when we face to our students. At the same time, we should have courage to be their students , to build our classes together, to study together ,to play together to share happiness and sadness with each other.

  Teaching is learning. I will always be a teacher with a student’s heart .keep learning from my students. I believe that I will be a good teacher in the future. Because I also believe a saying: “there is a will, there is a way!”

  During the construction, there was an episode.ten days before the super typhoon “tiange” struck, Mr Dong Jie—mangerof the project, accurately pdicted that the typhoon would pass through the construction area of the project, according to his many years experience in offshore operations. Therefore, he quickly took measures and avoided asset losses successfully.

  How amazing!

  The project also refreshed the record of wind turbine installation twice. The first time was onJune 10, 20xx when The first two wind turbines wasinstalledwithin 17 hours. Shortly after, Under the bad construction environment, two different models were completed within 13 hours which broke the record again. What’s more,This project has won unanimous praise from the owners, supervisors and suppliers, and they expssed the willingness to cooperate with us more.
